I know that uniques and even trophy requires especial lures sometimes to get and here a link to 1 of my source of info for that kind of thing : I know that there are many factors to take in consideration like the hook size, bait/lure ,time of the day, weather and position BUT i still think that the fish i'm catching is far too small than the numbers above REGARLDESS of trophy / unique game i mean never got to catch any trophy or unique for any of those examples exept the walleye, i don't really know if that's the issue but the biggest trophy i got so far from the examples above was a FRIKING 2 kg walleye and i catch tons of it. So giving this numbersi wonder why the heck i'm catching far smaller game than i expected. Walleye : average: " " " /max up to 20 kg (44 lbs) Northen pike : average 8 kg (17.5lbs) / max up to 25 kg (55 lbs) Smallmouth buffalo : average 2.5 kg - 7 kg (5lbs-15lbs) / max up to 16kg (35lbs) Channel catfish : average 4.5 kg - 9 kg (10-20 lbs) / max up to 26 kg (57lbs)
